Jean Arcelin

Solo Exhibition

Heritage Geneve

Jean Arcelin is an artist with dual nationality, Swiss and French, native of Vaud, currently living and working in Paris. His pictorial compositions are simply the results of his imagination without any cinematographic aids, using principally the oil canvas technique called “alla prima”, keen to the original “impressionist painters”, which cancels the initial undercoated and glazed steps.

According to the artist, the reality is only the activation of a fancy realm where perspective and mirrors effects, fleeting and vanishing lines, deep and uncertain space and audacious panoramic framings are combined all together. His painting style is dazzling, immediate, quite audacious, challenging a bit the limits of chromatic harmony in order to highlight its otherworldly appearance. Whatever baroque interiors, seas, mountains and urban landscapes, Jean Arcelin is always reinterpreting in a symbiotic way the visual illusion which stays as the everlasting paradox of the painting!

Exhibition Heritage Geneve

Franck Bouroullec is an artist native of France and based in Switzerland - La Tour de Peilz – since more than 11 years. As mentioned on his website, “…he eludes all familiar painting’s classifications and defies with his paintbrush time and space, leaving in his wake like a hint of eternity…”. He is primarily and internationally recognized as a performance painter due to the speed of a simple stroke of his paintbrush in his quest to touch upon the very essence, either during stage performances or for institutional artworks, such as the tribute to Charlie Chaplin realised on the frontage of two towers in Vevey – Switzerland. Franck Bouroullec manages so well its artistic fundamentals, in particular the portraiture, that he can paint in a more conventional spirit, excluding any time constraints, simply in search of the essentials.

Thanks to this first exhibition in Geneva the public will discover the multiple talents of the artist, keen of large acrylics frameworks, representing not only icons but many other themes.
journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting work.

2019 Aya Kawato Solo Exhibition | (Geneva, Switzerland)

My work explores the theme of “Control and Imperfection,” focusing on the uncertainty of perception and the possibilities of visual art. Through my training in traditional Japanese textiles in Kyoto, I learned that the minute deviations that inevitably arise from countless layers of manual processes hold a beauty beyond human intention. Fascinated by neuroscience since childhood, I was acutely aware that what we see is a reconstruction by the brain based on retinal images—where perception and reality often diverge, as in optical illusions.

My practice seeks to reframe these two phenomena—the deviations inherent in material processes and those that occur in perception—as parallel structures. By layering acrylic paint over a grid structure, I create subtle distortions of line and fluctuations in color that generate gentle optical effects. These works not only make viewers physically aware of the instability of vision but also invite them to imagine the existence of other perspectives. Through this painterly practice, I aim to visualize the fact that there is no single way of seeing the world, offering a poetic reflection on the diversity of human perception.

Solo Exhibition

Heritage Geneve

Christine Meyer is a painter whose work plays with the unconscious. Each painting is in a way an inner journey. Within oneself but also within what the current world makes invisible. It is an invitation to discover what is behind the intention. His canvases are all mirrors reflecting strong images. Here matter seems raw as is our earth and the bursts of light make it cosmic. Its creative strength is to make us experience a sense of intimacy in the immensity.

Sinan Kutluk's photographic exhibition "Raconter Les Autres" takes place, from March 10 to March 15 at the Héritage gallery in Geneva. In addition, an interactive round table will take place on the evening of Friday, March 13. It will be a matter of discussing the issues of privilege of body representations in the face of hairiness and its connotations. Inspired by their experiences, their meetings and their studies, the speakers will exchange with the public their feelings on the influence that the norms of society have on their daily lives, and then start a discussion with the public.
